FGIA updates laminates specification for use on AAMA-certified profiles

“This specification is intended to assist the architect, owner, contractor and window manufacturer to specify and obtain factory applied laminate, which will provide and maintain an appropriate level of performance for interior and exterior applications over a period of many years,” said Glenn Ferris, FGIA Fenestration Standards Specialist, and staff liaison for the FGIA Vinyl Material Council (VMC) Specification for Laminates Intended for Use on AAMA Certified Profiles Task Group. “Performance requirements include weathering, chemical resistance, detergent resistance and sealant compatibility.”
AAMA 307-26, as well as other documents available from FGIA, may be purchased from the online store at the discounted member rate of US$25 or the nonmember price of US$70.
