Posted on August 21st, 2025
Optional events geared toward networking will take place throughout the Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) Fall Conference, taking place Oct. 6-9 in Indianapolis. In recognition of the conference’s theme, “Showcasing Excellence, Celebrating Speed,” participants are invited to enjoy a private tour of the newly renovated Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. In addition to this unique experience, FGIA will be offering a series of art workshops in partnership with the Indy Arts Center. FGIA will also host its popular Product Showcase and Reception, a philanthropic event with World Vision and more. The preliminary schedule for the conference is available, and registration is open now.
“Networking opportunities in Indianapolis cater to diverse interests from extreme sports to the creation of beautiful art. This is just a glimpse of what will be offered at the FGIA Fall Conference to help you connect with industry influencers,” said Florica Vlad, FGIA Events Manager. “The FGIA Product Showcase is the perfect place to do exactly that, so don’t miss it.”
Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum Tour
On Oct. 8, conference participants are invited to attend a private event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. This tour will include exclusive access to featured garages offering a behind-the-scenes look at racing history. Participants can enjoy local food, beer and wine, plus full access to all areas of the museum, including a private shopping experience in the gift shop open just for conference attendees. Track tours of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway will be included as well as high-tech driving simulators to test participants’ driving skills and reflexes.
Hands-on Art Workshops at the Indy Art Center
Thanks to the Indy Art Center, FGIA is hosting a series of hands-on art workshops on Oct. 6, including glassblowing, clay wheel throwing and welding. Glass Studio registrants will create a colorful, solid glass paperweight. Ceramics participants will learn how to use a potter’s wheel in addition to a kiln. Welders will explore the malleability of metal and build with it by cutting and forming it into art. Space is limited to 10 participants per workshop. Registration is required.
FGIA Product Showcase
The FGIA Product Showcase and Reception will be held on Tues., Oct. 7. This hands-on event will provide conference participants with the opportunity to network while viewing product solutions and technologies in-person. Exhibitors will also be able to reach a hyper-focused segment of the industry at this unique networking event and reception offered to all conference participants. Member companies who are interested in showcasing can contact Events@FGIAonline.org to learn more.
World Vision Backpack Build
Participants will be rolling up their sleeves to fill backpacks with school supplies to equip underprivileged children with essential tools in a local school district in the Indianapolis area. This annual charitable event is made possible thanks to FGIA’s partnership with World Vision, a humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. FGIA seeks to provide 200 backpacks at a total cost of $4,000, or $20 per backpack. Companies and individuals who are interested in helping FGIA reach this goal by contributing to the cost of the backpacks and supplies can do so by completing and returning this form to Events@FGIAonline.org.
Other Optional Events
Several other optional networking events are taking place Mon., Oct. 6, including the traditional FGIA Rich and Diane Walker Cup golf tournament. In addition, FGIA is hosting a welcome reception for all participants that evening.
