During his last four years with Wausau, Williams was based in Colorado and previously in New York. In his new location, he continues to report directly to Wausau’s regional sales manager, Keith Lindberg.

Working locally with commercial building owners, architects and design professionals, contractors and construction teams, Williams will provide technical design and energy modeling support, and assist with product selection for high-performance window and curtainwall systems.

“I especially enjoy assisting architects with product selection by balancing aesthetic, functional, structural, thermal and daylighting performance goals,” says Williams. “Many projects in my territory have a need for Wausau’s windows that meet AAMA 513-14, supporting ADA accessibility and universal design, and in our NFRC certified products, supporting thermal performance goals and energy codes.”

Williams earned a Certificate of Approval for successfully completing the National Fenestration Ratings Council (NFRC) Approved Calculation Entity (ACE) Training Workshop and passing all necessary examinations. As an NFRC ACE, he is qualified to carry out performance calculations of fenestration products for design support and final certification using the NFRC Component Modeling Approach (CMA). He also is a licensed professional engineer (P.E.) with an architectural engineering degree with an emphasis in construction management from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Prior to joining Wausau, Williams worked with Wausau’s long-time customer, Colorado-based glazing contractor J.R. Butler, Inc. As a project manager, plant manager and project engineer, he relied on Wausau’s high-performance products and developed an expertise in unitized curtainwall applications.

As a project manager for J.R. Butler, Williams was involved with such notable projects as the University of Colorado’s biotechnology building and Anschutz inpatient hospital expansion, the National Renewal Energy Laboratory’s Research Support Facility buildings, and many other buildings certified at all levels through the LEED® green building rating systems.

As a sales representative for Wausau, Williams has helped support many projects including: The Coloradan condominiums in Denver; the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo; The Cellars at Pearl luxury apartments in San Antonio; the JPMorgan Chase & Co. mixed-use campus in Plano, Texas; 1776 Curtis St. and 1709 Chestnut St., both high-rise apartments buildings in Denver; 1401 Lawrence, Class A high-rise office building in Denver; and the River Spirit Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Deepening his professional knowledge and supporting the commercial construction industry, Williams served for three years on the Colorado Glazing Contractors Association’s board of directors. He will continue to represent Wausau at industry association events for the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
